I’m taking some time out on Boxing Day evening, relaxing for a bit after all the Christmas celebrations, and reflecting back over the last 12 months. This year has been amazing. It has been horrible and it has been fantastic. I’ve reached rock bottom and clawed my way back up again. But I don’t want to dwell on the bad so here are some of the things that have made 2010 an amazing year…
I had my very first manicure ever.
I discovered Home Routines and FlyLady… both have been lifesavers.
I met a super fantastic network of FlyBaby friends on Twitter.
I started my blog ‘Sam’s Spot’.
We did the Mother’s Day Classic and I met up with some school friends I hadn’t seen in 20+ years.
I discovered Lottie’s Finishing School and began working my way to becoming feminine and fabulous.
Hub and I went on a Ghost Tour.
I joined a Gym.
I attended the Body Image Revolution hosted by Sandy Kumskov.
I went on the 21 Day Weight Loss Get Healthy program and have kept most of these habits (I’ll be revisiting it in 2011)
We went to the State of Origin Final….sad as it was.
My Niece had a beautiful baby boy.
We went on a holiday to Mudgee and did a bit of wine tasting.
I moved my blog to WordPress and renamed it ‘Learn. Create. Do.’
I met up with one of my fantabulous friends from School. We hadn’t seen each other in 20 years and it was like we’d never been apart.
I joined Aussie Mummy Bloggers and got a ticket to the Aussie Bloggers Conference to be held in 2011 (SQUEE!)
I joined the AMB network on Twitter…. another wonderful group of ladies.
Graviee and I went to Hamilton Island for my sister’s wedding.
I discovered digital scrapbooking.
I attended the Health and Nutrition webinar hosted by Cyndi O’Meara.
I attended the Body Image Revolution Series 2 hosted by Sandy Kumskov.
I attended the Sydney Bloggers’ Festival 2010 and met some of my favorite bloggers
I met up with a group of School friends, some from earlier this year and others I haven’t seen in 20+ years.
I actually got organized for Christmas!
I let go of my therapist.
I hosted my first Christmas dinner.
I’ve started planning more fun things to do next year.
Wow! What a year!
Normally my year would consist of working, eating, sleeping and trying to keep house. Thank goodness that boring routine has gone….well it’s still there but with F.U.N. thrown in.
I like this new me that is learning and trying new things. And this is only the beginning. Next year is going to be HUGE! I can feel it!
