I’m linking up with Kim from Frog Ponds Rock for Sunday Selections. Today I have some shots of birds, that were in a cage, down at the Holiday Park we stayed at last week. The cockatoo with the dirty head was particularly cute and the most talkative. He was constantly saying ‘hello’ and ‘what ya doing’, and following me around the cage. When I turned to walk away he let out a wolf-whistle…. made my day!

Aren’t cockatoos fabulous birds? Thank you.
They are. This guy was most entertaining.
I don’t think I have ever seen blue parrots before! Very pretty
Me too. I had to look them up to see what they were. Rose Ringed Parakeet
The photos haven’t loaded at my end, so I’ll check in again tomorrow. I’m sure they’re beautiful.
They’re beautiful birds. I don’t think I’ve ever seen blue ones before either. Gorgeous
The Rose Ringed Parakeet was very shy. Kept running away when I got close.
LOL A wolf whistling parrot that makes your day… what has the world come to, hehe. Perhaps he has another job as a builder. Or… more likely, perhaps he used to live with a builder.
They are gorgeous birds.
And thanks for your kind comment on my Sunday Selections post. We do see woodpeckers almost daily here. I’m always amazed by the exotic birds that visit people’s gardens in other countries, but I tend to forget that we too have some amazing creatures flying around here
I must be easily pleased when a bird of the feathery variety whistles at me
Birds in cages. It says so much about us as a species.
I agree. Exactly why I said cage rather than aviary.
