F is for Fitness. What did you think it was?
Two weeks holiday away from the gym, eating and drinking whatever I want, has set me back in my weight-loss goals. It’s not all bad though. During this time I have also reflected on what I really want. A writing task had me think about all the “Diets” I’ve been on over the years. To be honest I have had enough. I no longer want to be on a diet. I don’t want to be constantly worried about how I look. I do however care about how I feel. All the overindulgence on delicious cocktails and processed foods has left me feeling totally lethargic.
I now realize that eating whole, organic foods has been the most beneficial for me. It made me FEEL better.
Regular exercise gave me more energy and confidence as well as increasing my strength and fitness.
The combination of both these, naturally, meant I lost weight. (cue light-bulb over head)
I cannot obsess over it though… that is not healthy.
Exercise Goals
I have a number of tools to get plenty of exercise…. Gym, C25K, NEWO and Zumba…. so there is really no excuse, other than time. So my goal this week is to claim back time for daily exercise.
Weight-Loss Goals
First mini goal is to get under 80kg… after that I’ll set 5kg mini goals – no obsessing, just slow, steady weight-loss
Start weight 81.1
Last week’s weight 76.7
Current Weight 77.4 700g gain
1st mini goal < 80kg : 03-Aug-10
2nd mini goal 75kg
